For 53 years the annual kickoff to Late Model Stock Car Racing in the Pacific Northwest has been the Apple Cup at Yakima Speedway. With the recent demise of Yakima Speedway, coupled with the resurrection of Tri City Raceway @ RMEC in West Richland, it only seemed fitting to continue the kickoff tradition at the ultra -fast 1/2 mile Tri Oval at TCR on April 2nd and 3rd 2022.
"We are so proud to be a part of the continuing tradition of both the Speedway and the Apple Cup" said Greg Walden, Project Manager of TCR-Speedway Promotions LLC . "This is a great fit to our schedule and carry on the event that the Pollock family began in 1967 at the Yakima Speedway.
