Here are your race results for the Wenatchee 200.
Qualifying
There is a new track record at WVSO and it was first broke by Derek Thorn. And then we broke it again by .001, leaving the new track record at 12.514.
The last and equally interesting detail is the fact that our motor came from Derek's car and was used to win the Snowball Derby.
Things started our well. There was an incident early on and after the restart we were in 2nd right behind #42. We kept heavy pressure on the lead car for a while but began to fall off. At the break we were at p8.
After the break we had some improved laps but ultimately stayed below p5 and finished p7. We definitely had the car and crew to finish the race at p1. It's been a tough couple of races for HPR. It will be good to have some time off to figure it out.
We continue to be 100% grateful for our awesome fans. There were folks with HPR t-shirts in the stands and plenty of hollering to go along with them. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next one, but also we want to make sure that we are able to bring the 100% that our fans deserve.
Onto the Next One
The next race on the schedule is the Oregon 125 at Hermiston Raceway. But we will be sure to confirm again closer to that weekend.
